Pleasant
The building is beautiful from the outside and has a lot of charm. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was generally clean and okay. We would especially like to mention the housekeeping staff, who were very kind and lovely. The golf area was also fun, especially the ball-tracking system.
Unfortunately, several parts of the stay did not match the impression the hotel gives from the outside. The breakfast was disappointing for a hotel of this category and did not feel fresh. Warm items seemed to have been sitting under heat lamps for a long time, the scrambled eggs were swimming in water, pastries tasted old and some fruit was unripe or seemed defrosted.
The restaurant service was also very slow. We waited about 1 hour and 20 minutes for a sandwich and a halloumi wrap. The food was eventually not charged, which was fair, but the wait was still far too long.
The spa was the biggest disappointment. Bathrobes cost £5 each to rent, which was not made clear to us at check-in, and they smelled unpleasant and did not feel fresh. The spa area itself was stuffy, the pool was rather cold, there were children’s swimming lessons during our visit, and the changing rooms felt more like an old school swimming pool than a relaxing spa. Overall, it was not the calm or high-quality spa experience we expected.
There were also some smaller issues: no fridge in the room, only a combined shampoo and shower gel product, water bottles were not automatically replaced, and the golf booking was not well organised. We had booked 150 balls but only received 75 from the machine and had to sort this out ourselves.

Wonderful
We have stayed in Dunstan Hall 3 times now. The location is good for us to visit friends and get to Norwich easily. The staff are really friendly and we like that we can bring our dogs. We opted for a larger room this time with direct access outside, which is good for early morning dog walks. The room was comfy, with a large bed and air-conditioning, which we appreciated in the heatwave. We used the gym and pool and enjoyed walks directly from the hotel. Breakfast was included in our room rate. There was a good choice of hot and cold food and vegan / vegetarian & gluten free options available. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant in the evening but we did enjoy a drink on the terrace.

The breakfast was lovely although we had to wait a little while for a few things to be replenished, the staff were wonderful. Couldn’t do enough for you. Love the hotel , we did have a power cut for a while one morning but it was wasn’t off for too long.
I do think there needs to be a fridge in the room and a safe and they have neither but we couldn’t fault everything else it was our second visit
I did message the property to book dinner , and it was confirmed by message but when we got to the restaurant there was no record of our booking. Plus my husbands fish and chips were inedible and it was removed from the bill.

Wonderful
The Hotel is lovely. We were in room 050 and it had a little patio area, which was great for the children. It also made life easier accessing the car when loading/unloading. The swimming facilities were very good and so was the breakfast. What made our stay were the staff and how friendly and accommodating they were.
Our patio table hasn’t been clean from the guests before us and had ice cream on it which attracted a lot of ants. The room service menu doesn’t include options for children.

The building is beautiful! The grounds amazing! The staff were lovely. Booked the four poster room and was so spacious, and the bathroom was massive with his and her sinks. Looked over the patio and course.
To be critical the spa could do with a little update… it’s lovely, but a bigger jacuzzi pool would be nice. The gym was fantastic with the different levels and rooms - wasn’t on top of each other at all, not that it was busy.
