Room was comfortable. We did complain there was no heating on and it was cold. They did put the heating on.
Food was lovely and staff friendly.
Had a great massage in the spa.
We booked to get my husband back into the pool after an accident but unfortunately only used once as too cold.

A truly awful experience
This is not a spa hotel and I feel completely ripped off
I waited an hour for lunch on a spa day
The spa is a leisure facility not a spa
The leisure facility is included in the hotel price so I paid £139 extra for nothing

Lovely building, beautiful golf course. Dinner was good ( when it eventually arrived)
Our rooms were surrounded by people with dogs in their rooms so there was frequent barking. I like dogs, but not in the room next door in a hotel. Bacon and sausage at breakfast were very undercooked. Dinner service very slow.

Very good selection at breakfast. Good quality of cooked selection.
Afternoon tea on Sunday very nice and lovely staff.
Discount advertised on website when eating twice in the restaurant but no discount offered. Meal for 10 in restaurant on Saturday and afternoon tea for 6 on Sunday!
A bank holiday weekend with family accommodation at the hotel and the family games room not available on what turned out to be a day of bad weather. Very disappointing.
Very disappointing to find that dogs allowed in the restaurant and bar. Barking and growling dogs is not what we wanted at breakfast and seeing lap dogs sitting in the lounge bar seats was not managed by staff.
Would not stay at Dunston Hall again.

Lovely venue, gorgeous grounds, staff are very pleasant.
The food was a letdown. Had to return child’s food that wasn’t cooked. Not a great selection of food, after a day out was a shame we couldn’t order sandwiches which finished at 6pm, ended up ordering a takeout.
I also noticed 2 years on the trot the hotel has a terrible issue with flies, constantly flying everywhere, and in the restaurant is not nice.
