Location was brilliant. Plenty of parking. Staff friendly. Food mostly good - wide choice at breakfast.
Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable.
Place is very tired looking inside - threadbare carpets in entrance/bar area. ‘L’ on door of ladies toilet opposite bar hanging off - very minor but management don’t seem to take time to just walk around otherwise they would spot these things. Furniture in room quite shabby with veneer peeling off. Window only opened about two inches - might be a safety feature but not good in hot weather. Mad numbering system for the rooms - people wandering around hopelessly lost trying to find rooms. Had sickness and diarrhoea after a meal in restaurant on last evening so couldn’t eat breakfast the next morning. Had stayed before and this trip wasn’t up to same level.

Nothing sadly.
We were really disappointed with our stay. The room felt very dated, dusty, and uncomfortable — it didn’t feel clean at all. The pool area was overcrowded and not well maintained, very grubby and unclean, and unfortunately, the food was poor quality. It's a real shame, as the building itself is beautiful and full of potential, but based on our experience, we wouldn’t stay again or recommend it. For the price paid, it felt like a waste of money.

The hotel and grounds were beautiful and tranquil.
Very disappointed in the cleanliness of our room 42. Asked reception twice to clean our shower area which contained a long black hair on the tiled wall. We were advised by William that a cleaner would attend our room at 7am to clean. We waited but no cleaner arrived.

Looks lovely from the outside and spa facilities were nice
Mouldy bathroom and room could do with a lick of paint - tired. Pillows horrible and they only cleaned on request

Comfy bed, nice carpet. Good bath and shampoo etc. would’ve been good to have better earl grey tea bags.

Love, love, love this hotel. It’s so family friendly, and the facilities are great. Lots of space, lovely terrace, pool is great and always space for kids to play whilst grown ups can have a relaxing swim in the lanes provided.
